Indian Wedding Food Guide!

We are creating a Q&A for your caterer before the big day!

Samples for speciality: Ask your shortlisted wedding caterer to send you their sample first.

Taste: While this is an obvious one, but it’s a must. Be sure to bring the family since they will be able to share their favorites.

Alarms: Try to get a caterer who doesn’t have multiple commitments.

Extra Help: Ask to see if they offer extra help to make your life easier.

Boring Buffets: Buffets are so old news! We are loving satellite bars, live counters, island buffet stations even food as decor! So pick a caterer that can reflect your taste and personality with food.

Leftovers: There typically will be lots of leftovers so think of a food bank to donate the rest to!

Cabin Creek Lodge

Open year round, this 12,000-square-foot lodge is situated the Yakima River in Wenatchee National Forest. The lodge sleeps over 40 people, which makes it a solid choice for couples planning a small wedding weekend in the woods. The property also comes equipped with everything you'd need for a celebration—a chef-grade kitchen, tables, chairs, dinnerware, and audio equipment. Though base rates start at $1,300 per night, you'll have to factor in additional charges if your guest tally exceeds 30 people. Discounts are available for parties staying three nights or more.

Greenhouse & Gardens

The opening line of this Los Angeles vendor's Airbnb listing says it all: "If you've always wanted a backyard wedding, but don't have the backyard...you can rent mine." Many couples have done just that with much success—a scroll through the listing's romantic wedding photo reel is proof. Designed to host between 50 and 60 guests, this April-to-November rental is located in the Walnut Acres neighborhood of Woodland Hills in a gated estate with over a half-acre of redwoods, birch trees, and white roses (talk about garden wedding vibes!). The price for the ceremony and reception totals in at $2,500—but, beyond lighting, you'll have to bring in your own vendors.

Villa Mareas

If you're planning an intimate, tropical destination wedding, you have to bookmark this family compound in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica. The property boasts nine luxury suites and has access to several waterfalls along its 36-acre coastline of rain forest. Natural amenities aren't the rental's only selling points—Villa Mareas is also home to an epic infinity pool, hot tub, outdoor bar, and open kitchen. Rates start at $1,500 for up to 18 guests; the property can, however, accommodate up to 26 with a fee.

Located just two minutes from Cable Beach's main strip, this Nassau, Bahamas, property is true to its name—the rental offers panoramic views of the ocean front from its 360-degree infinity pool. With four bedrooms (seven beds total!) and four bathrooms, the rental comfortably sleeps 15 people. Couples planning a small ceremony should act fast, since the property starts at just $506 per night.

Vista Hermosa Estate

Arguably one of the most modern, luxury-oriented venues on this list, Vista Hermosa Estate, located in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, offers the entire package. It's terrace—which overlooks the Pacific Ocean—holds 40 people for your small celebration; the rest of the property runs like a boutique hotel (an infinity pool, private chef, and maid service are included). These next-level amenities explain the property's hefty price tag, which starts at $1,700 per night.*
